Pocket Printworks

Privacy Policy

Updated: 28 October 2026

Scope

This policy applies to the Pocket Printworks iOS app. Single-player gameplay works offline, with no developer-run account, ads or cross-app tracking. Game Center provides online matches and leaderboards, and Apple handles purchases. iCloud progress sync and local playtest research logging are both off by default and must be enabled by you.

Data Stored on Your Device

Progress, workflow drafts, stars, completion times, method notes, custom puzzles, language, and other settings are stored on this device. Whether iOS system backups include app data depends on your device and backup settings.

Full-Version Purchase

The first six chapters (150 main orders), introduction, basic practice and friend duels are free. The full version is a one-time, non-consumable purchase verified and billed by Apple. The developer does not receive payment-card details. Restore it with the same Apple Account after changing devices or reinstalling. The game no longer sells or spends energy tickets and does not use an iCloud ticket wallet.

Friend play and leaderboards

Only when you create or join a friend room does the app exchange player names, room information, puzzles, work lines, round state and event timing intervals through Game Center. Invitation links contain only the six-digit room code, not answers; you confirm joining after opening a link. Leaderboards send an eligible chapter's total first-clear time only after you sign in and enable sharing. The app does not automatically send this data to a developer server.

iCloud progress sync

When enabled, completed orders, prints, saved print methods, custom puzzles and stars are stored in the app's private container in your iCloud Drive. Apple handles storage and sync. Devices using the same iCloud account merge valid progress without overwriting local unfinished work lines, device settings, purchase entitlements or research logs. Switching iCloud accounts stops sync, and you must choose to enable it again. The app does not automatically send saves or iCloud sign-in information to the developer. If you choose to export and share, the information below applies.

Syncing first-completion records

If you are signed into Game Center, iCloud also merges native first-completion records for the same player. Records belonging to other players or not yet claimed are not transferred. Leaderboard sharing consent is never enabled automatically by another device.

Optional playtest research log

Off by default. Once you enable it, the app records gameplay events, times, puzzle or chapter numbers, completion times, hints, and purchase/restore outcomes. It does not include names, email addresses, Game Center or iCloud identifiers, transaction IDs or payment information. Logs stay on the device, with a limit of 1,000 entries. Entries older than 30 days are removed when you open the app. Logs are not automatically uploaded or synced to iCloud and are not included in game backups. You can turn logging off, clear the log or export it manually. A recipient receives the file only if you separately choose to share it.

File Import & Sharing

The app reads a selected file only when you choose to import it. When you export backups or artwork, the storage location, recipients, and services you choose receive the file. A full backup may include custom puzzle titles, game records, and settings.

Support Email

The developer receives your email address, message, and chosen attachments only after you send a support email yourself. Your email service processes the email, which is used to reply and resolve your request. Please provide only necessary information. The app does not automatically send emails or attach saves.

Permissions & Timing

Solo play needs no connection permission; online duels use Game Center. Device timing measures play and duel-event intervals. Raw device uptime is not transmitted or used to identify or track devices.

Keeping & Removing Data

You can reset local progress in Settings. The app keeps a recoverable copy and turns off progress sync, but does not cancel Apple purchases. Turning off sync or deleting the app does not delete older iCloud saves; you can manage them in the system's iCloud storage settings. Research logs can be cleared in the app's Settings. Exported files, system backups and content received by friends must be handled separately. Support emails are kept only for as long as needed to resolve the issue.
